The Website is Now Up and Running

This has been a labor of love for the Coastside Poetry community. I had some trouble with the first webpage builder I used, and at the last minute, I was forced to delete the entire site and start fresh with a whole new page builder. That’s all in the past, but I wanted to explain the confusion for those who might have visited the site between the time we sent out our first letter and now. The main problem with the other builder was the formatting on mobile for the poetry in the “Features” section (which would ultimately affect the “Archives” as well). Poetry is precise, and I wouldn’t ask our features to submit their work if I couldn’t deliver the poems as they intended them to appear. The desktop to mobile transition seems to be one of the more complicated matters for page builders, even this one, but if you find yourself reading some of the poetry and it’s formatted incorrectly, try turning your phone to landscape mode (sideways), and the layout should appear accurately.

The site will develop over time as content accumulates, and there might be some tweaks and corrections that I’ll make in the future. I thank you in advance for your patience. If you see anything that is amiss, or if you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to fill out the form in the “Contact Us” section.

I look forward to seeing you at Cafe Society on October 10th!
